Passport Information

Processing Time

The US State Department estimates 6 - 8 weeks of routine processing time to renew or issue a new US passport. Please do not wait to apply or renew.

6 Month Validity

Mexico requires a minimum of 6 months validity on your passport to enter the country. Please ensure that your passport expires after March 2025.

Tourist Visas

Most visitors do not require a visa and can enter Mexico for up to 180 days. These include visitors from Europe, the US, and Canada.

If you are traveling in large groups, we recommend looking into Airbnbs. The most convenient and safe neighborhoods to stay in are Condesa, Roma, and Polanco.
